Note that even core id's (core0, core2, etc.) are real cores, odd core id's (core1, core3, etc) are HyperThreaded cores. Right-click on the process and select CPU Affinity/Always/Select CPU Affinity. Run Process Lasso and find the processes noted above. The best way to do this is to run the applications/SteamVR and DCS in VR mode. Right click on the process you want to adjust the cores/threads for. If you are an advanced user you will be happy to know that Process Lasso can be used to change the priority of processes, the CPU affinity (Core selection). This happened again, and again and again- ending up in these superlow FPS “crunching” session every other minute, almost making the game unplayable.ġ: Just have two physical cores selected (Set by default for DCS in Task Manager) : (Stuttering- very much so)Ģ: Process Lasso enabling all cores: Super smooth, with HUGE intermittent FPS drops lasting many seconds at a time.īoth are unplayable in any enjoyable way.Īny advice would be appreciated, but you can skip the usual tips related to tuning graphics settings, drivers and deleting folders in DCS.
